Founded on 27 February 2017, the Penang Women Chamber of Commerce (PWCC) serves as the collective voice and platform for the empowerment of women especially in business and the labour force in the state. It remains our ultimate goal to narrow the gap which exists between men and women when it comes to business opportunities, senior leadership positions and avenues for upward mobility in society.

Through an array of activities and events, our members are exposed to the latest trends and methods of managing a business, improve on their networking as well as to gain knowledge that helps them in making informed choices in the business ecosystem they operate in.

In the years to come, the roles of PWCC would be focused towards providing the necessary guidance to precipitate and facilitate the metamorphosis of our women entrepreneurs from merely small business owners to key players within the business community.

PWCC thoroughly believes that if given the opportunity and with the right socio-economic factors, women entrepreneurs will be as successful as their male counterparts and complement them in shaping the economic performance of the nation.
